Project Overview

SYMBYX Biome is an Australian medical technology company developing light therapy devices for chronic conditions like Parkinson’s, Chronic Pain, dementia, IBD, and Crohn’s. They’d done a studio shoot before, clinical, and controlled, but this time they wanted to show real people using their products in the wild. The feeling? Natural, human, aspirational.

When their marketing coordinator first came knocking, they had an idea and a budget. What they didn’t have was a clear picture of what goes into a full-blown lifestyle campaign (and also how to maximise every dollar to make it happen.) So Heist stepped in as the brains behind the operation: guiding, educating, and gently reeling in expectations while making the impossible possible.

Within a few weeks, and with a bigger, better budget signed off, their first large-scale lifestyle campaign was greenlit. What started as an idea now had the backing to become SYMBYX’s next big brand moment.

With our extensive experience in pulling off ‘big with lean budgets’, Heist ran the entire show. We handled pre-production, sourced and managed talent and locations, built airtight shoot schedules, and managed expectations every step of the way.

SYMBYX saw the value of our guidance in real-time when timings got tight (which they inevitably do), and every small behind-the-scenes task was clocked, double-checked, and slotted into a schedule so precise you’d think we were landing a plane, not shooting a lifestyle campaign.

Case in point: right before shoot day, a rail strike threatened to delay key talent and knock the whole timeline sideways.

Cue Heist’s signature move: proactive problem-solving. We advised SYMBYX to push the shoot back a few days, giving us control over every variable and making sure no talent got stuck on a train platform or wedged in the sardine tin of Sydney’s overflow traffic when they should’ve been smiling on set.

The result? A seamless, tightly packed shoot with every planned asset captured - zero time wasted and zero budget bloat.

SYMBYX Biome got a major upgrade to their brand presence through their new library of polished images. For the first time, their marketing showed real people engaging with their products in a way that felt natural, human, and actually worth paying attention to.

Over 100 striking lifestyle images and social-first video B-Roll later, they’ve now got a robust content library powering their website, social channels, and paid ads - driving brand awareness and reinforcing their position as a medical tech leader.
