Project Overview

SYMBYX Biome is an Australian medical technology company developing light therapy devices for chronic conditions, such as Parkinson’s, Chronic Pain, dementia, IBD and Crohn’s. The company had previously done studio shoots but needed a more significant lifestyle campaign to support upcoming marketing activity.

Initially, the marketing coordinator reached out to Heist with an idea and budget in mind. Having never shot this type of campaign before, Heist was able to provide guidance and education about the process, what was involved, and what the company could realistically achieve with their allocated budget and resources. Within a few weeks, they were able to return with an increased budget, and its large-scale lifestyle campaign could become a reality.

What we did

Leaning on our extensive experience, Heist managed the entire process and guided SYMBYX through the project from pre-production, location and talent sourcing and management, and shoot scheduling; expectations were carefully managed to ensure the client was across the likely outcomes.

SYMBYX saw Heist’s guidance in real-time, as timings were extremely tight despite a highly detailed schedule that considered every small action and task behind the scenes.

Project Particulars:

Successful shoots are all about planning, anticipating, and mitigating delays. On the shoot day, a rail strike threatened to impact the shoot by delaying the arrival of key talent. Something that could have costly knock-on effects.

With this in mind, we advised SYMBYX to push out the shoot by a couple of days, (re-organising and re-booking every facet of the shoot), ensuring the variables were in our control as much as possible. 

This proactive action ensured the tightly packed shoot successfully went ahead with all the assets captured in time.

Outcomes

SYMBYX Biome didn’t just get a set of polished images—they transformed their brand presence. For the first time, their marketing showcased real people engaging with their products in a natural, aspirational way.

The campaign produced over 100 striking lifestyle images and social-first video B-roll, giving SYMBYX a robust content library that now powers their website, social media, and paid advertising. This campaign elevated their marketing efforts, reinforcing their position as an industry leader.
